The syllabus has been updated to include pdf versions of the assigned readings for Tuesday. Simply go to the course information page and scroll down to the schedule of readings. The Questionnaire page has also been uploaded (see above).

Tuesday we’ll analyze another campaign ad. As the semester progresses we’ll be learning a vocabulary specific to film criticism, one that includes formal categories and concepts such as diegetic sound, tracking shot, jump cut, mise-en-scene, and many others. If you’d like to get ahead of the curve, take a look at the Yale Film Analysis Guide:
